Comments?

So I sometimes feel like I'm shouting into the closet. I guess it's therapeutic, but I was hoping for more of a dialog at some point. Please feel free to comment and tell me I'm right or I'm wrong or I'm an assclown who needs a life or what are my thoughts on the Fair Tax or how does the internet work or anything else interesting or stupid or profound let me know. If it wasn't for StatCounter, I'd assume no one reads this but they do, so let me know? Okay?

hey, jeff. you wanted readers to check in, so here i am. i'm "jk" from over on itulip. one of your posts over there linked to your harvey blog. i read that because it's been an occasional fantasy of mine - getting an rv and tooling around the west. [i visited the southwest - utah and arizona - for the first time in march '05, for some hiking, and am now planning my 7th trip.] anyway, harvey linked to here and here i am. haven't had much to say, so i haven't posted any comments, but since you asked....

It might be that you intimidate people. Is it OK to comment along this line? I mean, I don't want to piss you off.

Seriously, though...as your most constant, if obviously not most intelligent commenter, I appreciate your shouts...and they have effect.

One Question:

I heard an analysis of Obama's Tax plan. The first said " He went to Harvard Law, perhaps he should have gone to Harvard Business. Taxing Corporate Capital Gain is Bad, because it stifles the basis of capitalism...coprorate profits" To which the following analyst said: "Man, maybe you should have gone to harvard Divinity School! That is a cold hearted failed idea from the trickle down voodoo economics of reaganism."

Both are my paraphrases, and may have missed the mark. Here is my question to a liberal, kind hearted business person: As I feel that corporate types will seek profit even if taxed, that is the reason it is BS to suggest that taxes stifle economic health. Am I right or naive?

Obama's whole plan ( Tax the rich instead of the poor) seems like a way to surplant welfare wiht a sound tax policy.

Can you rant on this?

Out of Mexico now and I can reply. Wish we could have talked more there. Keep it up.
