Death by Conservatism
Sadly, we’ve seen two slayings recently for which the blame can be laid at the feet of the right wing punditry and the Republican Party. A security guard at the Holocaust Museum was gunned down by an 88-year-old White Supremacist. Last week, an abortion provider was shot at his church. Pro-life, indeed.
If you listen to the likes of Sean, Rush, et al., you’d pretty much have to take the job of killing abortion as a God given directive. If you really believe the guy killed 60,000 human beings rather than zygote clusters of cells, then it probably makes sense in your twisted little mind. As I’ve said, ad nauseum, if abortion is so damned un-Christian, why didn’t the Big Guy let us know? Abortion wasn’t invented in 1973 by Democrats, no matter what the fat man on the radio says.
The anti-Semitic basis for raiding a museum has a powerful basis in the Republican Party with a big ironic twist that most people miss. The Religious Right supports Israel only because it has a big role in “the end of days”. That’s when all the Jews get sent to hell and the “elect” ascend to heaven. Great. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

A comment of yours on a blog I frequent (Larry James) led me to your blog. I feel like sharing the thoughts I wrote about this incident just to put it out there that it is possible for a conservative Christian to have rational thoughts about this kind of topic. Although, maybe the "Conservative Christians" wouldn't think that I am one of them...
"Most everyone has heard of the recent shooting of late-term abortion provider Dr. Tiller. What makes it even more sensational is that the killing of Dr. Tiller took place as he was serving as usher at his church. This has really caused a lot of thought for me, as I listen to the reactions to this. I think there are a lot of pro-life supporters that are shocked that Dr. Tiller even went to church. But when you pause to think about it, the man who murdered Dr. Tiller probably went to church also, or at least thought he was doing the will of God. I think this should cause everyone, especially those who claim the name Christian, to think about how it is possible, so very easy even, to claim to be a follower of Christ or to be involved in church activities without really holding to the teachings of Christ. There are a lot of reasons this happens. For some, church is a ritual or habit that does not lead to or contribute to a personal, living, growing, intimate relationship with God. Or sometimes, actually a lot of the time though not always in extreme or obvious ways, people like to decide for themselves what God wants and then try to back it up any way they can even if it means ignoring what God flat-out reveals in scripture. I think what I am trying to say here is that I am often guilty of the same mistakes both Dr. Tiller and his murderer have made, and even though my mistakes have not directly taken another person's life, they have resulted in sin. And God hates all sin equally. Anyway, all this sensational news story has done is remind me how important it is to truly seek God and incorporate love in all my actions."

Check this out, Jeff, and see whose mind is REALLY sick and twisted. http://www.abortiontruth.com/pictures.html
YOU have the sick, twisted, willfully ignorant mind.

Well yes, Jeff, you are truly nauseating; anyone with such a combination of arrogance and willful ignorance is always nauseating. The Didache is as old as the New Testament (about 50 - 100 A.D) and in Chapter 2 it states quite clearly: "And this is the second commandment of the teaching: you shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not corrupt children, nor practice sexual deviation; you shall not steal; nor practice calling on spiritual guides; nor use sorcery; YOU SHALL NOT PROCURE AN ABORTION, NOR PRACTICE INFANTICIDE;"

You bragg repeatedly about your "philanthropy". If you wish to be perfect, then go sell what you have, and give it to the poor.
Make yourself poor so that when your current existence comes to an end, and physical death separates your soul from your body, you will be ready to stand in utter humility before the Creator whom you have mocked.
(If you don't believe that the REAL you - the "ghost in the machine" - will continue to live after your body dies, then take this hyperlink and spend $3.00 to download these medical, scientific (not religious)interviews: https://store.peoplespharmacy.com/713-the-nature-of-consciousness-1-31-09-mp3.html)
For all your "generosity" will mean nothing then when you are faced with the reality of having lived your life in such arrogant, self-willed pride.
