being on the road, I have missed your blogs, and hav ebeen watching all the news, and the big fat liar while driving when I can. I feel like I have been swimming in slinme, and reading your blog was like a shower wiht Irish Spring. It doesn't solve the issues, but it sure is nice to read what I keep thinking.

You really ought to hear the BFL. He is becoming ( well...continuing to increasingly ) quite shrill in shouting "It's the Democrats!!!!" and then will not allow opposing views AT ALL. To his remarks that the whole meltdown is a Democratic ploy to regain the whitehouse, a caller said "yes, but shouldn't the Republicans share some of the blame, after all, they held the..." and he was cut off and Rush ranted about the subversive democrats calling his show. I think it's time for a piss test for TBFL.

For the rest of us..Did you hear Bush's speech last night? Talk about a fat cat trying to scare the populace to bail out his buddies with no questions asked. Doomsday unless you give me all the marbles and let me make the rules. Never mind that I and my friends made the doomsday occur.

You called this about 10 years ago. I remember you saying that the anchor chain connecting the government and Wall Street, to avert what happened in '29, is now so strong, that WHEN ( you didn't say IF) it happens, it will take the country with it. So what do the normal people do now?

Jackson Browne sang a new song.."I'm going to Cuba" on the Colbert report. That makes the most sense to me. They learned how to live fairly well without all the bells and whistles that trade with the U.S. would have given...and may be the best model for a Post Wall Street economy.
Yeah, they are austere and totalitarian. We have been keeping the masses fat and happy, but in the things that matter, it's been pretty totalitarian here lately.
