Would a Christian please denounce this crap?

Loudly? Publicly? Soon? There are idiots out there who will believe this shit.

is that for real?
i saw one of mccain's adds yesterday pinning obama as just a pop star and it was so weird, i can't believe people even take this stuff seriously,
so bizarre and transparent, right?
by the way, i was thinking of you this morning in church as we are studying the book of James, and it was about faith without deeds is dead
anyway, and it says you show your faith by your deeds
so i know we disagree on faith issues (theology and such)
but i find it intersteing that many people claim to share my faith, but have hard to see deeds, while alot of people who denounce my faith, seem to being doing alot of things that i do think Jesus was all about

i might have no point,
but you guys did come to mind
for what it's worth

That's sweet Annie, thanks. I'm reading "Jesus for President" and I feel like buying it for every Christian I know.

That ad is insane. Is it real?

You have a big point Anne.

It's real and they ran it. Could someone please call the grownups and ask them to report at McCain't headquarters?

Carla, I need to talk to Aaron. Can he call me at 207-633-7657? Thanks and a big hug.

I just checked an old email. I predicted this 'anti-Christ' line of attack back in January of last year. You can see this stuff coming a mile -- and 18 months -- away.

I find it amazing that Americans can be so reflexively cynical about politicians, yet just as reflexively deferential to anybody claiming -- often on the strength of their own "say so" -- to be a minister of God.

King James I of England liked to say, "No Bishop, No King". Four hundred years ago he understood the intimate connection between religious and political authority perfectly. That's why he "authorized" a translation of the bible -- to put a stop to the open source movement (William Tyndale, for instance) which was translating and publishing it underground.

Now we have fake Christians trying to repeal the reformation, for god's sake. "Don't think for yourself!! Accept the word of religious authorities. Just like those nice devout Wahabis do."

I know I am late to this but can't resist a comment. I can certainly denounce it, as thinking Christians would, but what impact will that have? The people that buy into this kind of nonsense are probably the same people that think Obama is related to Osama Bin Laden. Maybe the ones on your 'street interview' video from today? We haven't seen the last of this stuff, either. McCain has yet to (that I've seen) clearly go after the support of the bigots in this country. But we can be sure that he will. This type of stuff falls into the category for me of "Ignore Irrelevant Behavior."

Stacy

p.s. I can only hope that the street interviewer deleted hundreds of people with intelligent answers to make a very funny video. Or we are in big trouble...:)

Well, I am an atheist, but I will comment anyway.

McBush picked his VP based on her anatomy, and her appeal to the christian right, which is obvious. Now he needs to stir up confusion, and it doesn't seem to take much effort to do this in the good ole USA. Obama better start some pit bull attack ads real soon, of the inconceivable will actually happen to this country.

Did you notice that the town that Palin headed in Alaska is the only town in Alaska (and probably the rest of the country) which refused to pay for rape victims test kits and treatment. The past governor thankfully mandated that the whole State cover medical and testing fees for rape victims.

Glad to see she is such an advocate of women's rights.

At least you have the option of Costa Rica if things happen as I expect with the economy and unemployment that are expected.

Give me a call sometime Jeff--Brooks (410) 207-0402
